Lifestyle, lifestyle, lifestyle ………
The sunny coastal town of Denmark nestled in Western Australia's south west has that and more. Awe inspiring trees, treacherous, voluptuous coastline, variable weather, enough heritage and history to make your grandmother weep, oh, and McSweeney’s Gourmet.

In a region renowned for the things natural, at times the effort required to fully appreciate all the south west has to offer is exhausting at the mere thought. Enter McSweeney’s.... A hit of only the finest caffeine is sure to hype even the most lethargic.

Found on the ‘down side' of Strickland Street in the heart of Denmark. A town where the residents are as variable and transient as the Southern Ocean that borders its shire. McSweeney's will inspire, nurture and ultimately feed every sense you bestow upon this wee small shop.
If gazing, drooling and wonderment were measured at an hourly rate, the owners would surely be millionaires.

By utilising local produce in racy cakes and savoury pastries, and retailing locally produced preserves and condiments, the style and hence stock changes seasonally. McSweeney’s is also laden with the dubious honour of holding the most extensive array of cheese in W.A --- are they Mad??? --- not so say the fanatic cheeseophiles . With customers holidaying in Denmark buying cheese to take back to Perth, bemoaning that the city hasn't the time nor interest, or rather the interest is not taken to make the time to spend on them, the consumer, the lifeline of any small business.

Then there’s coffee and more coffee. Using an espresso blend through the Faema for three years -- although milder blends and roasts are available on request -- has seen the clientele base build steadily. From an addicts morning constitutional, to perhaps someone in town to pick up the fencing wire and grab a take out, or perhaps passing through to capture the next natural wonder, McSweeney’s is a must see to be included in any Southern jaunt.
